General
School Hours
- The school is open to children from 8.30am
- Classes begin at 9.00am and finish at 3.00pm
- Morning Interval is from 10.40-11.00am
- Lunch time is from 12.30-1.30pm
Absences
- If a child is unwell or unable to attend school we ask that parents/caregivers phone the school office by 9.00am
- If parents/caregivers know ahead of time that a child will be late or absent from school we ask that they contact the child’s classroom teacher
Lunches
- SMART lunches are available every day at a cost of $3.00 or $4.00. Orders need to be palced in an envelope and marked with the child’s name and room number. Orders need to be taken to the office by 9.00am
- The PTA have a Sausage Sizzle every Friday. Sausages wrapped in bread with tomato sauce cost $1.00
Stationery
- Packs containing all stationery requirements are available from the school office
Taieri Road Crossing
- Children crossing Taieri Road in the afternoons are supervised by the teaching staff
Assemblies
- We start each school week with an assembly at 9.00am on Monday morning. We focus on the school values at these assemblies, with children receiving awards for putting our values into action. Parents and caregivers are most welcome to attend
Newsletters
- The school newsletter is issued on Friday to the eldest child in the family
School Donations
- School donations are set for the year at $60 for one child, $110 for two children and $150 for three or more children
- Donations may be paid at the start of the school year, part payments are welcome throughout the year and direct payment facilities are also available
School Activities
- We try to provide opportunities for Education Outside the Classroom each term to enrich children’s learning. The cost of these activities will be charged at the time of the event
School Closures / Late Starts
- Due to our location the school can sometimes be affected by snow during the winter months. School closures and late starts are advertised on all local radio stations
